Our Dream Basket is a masterfully handwoven piece, measuring 13 to 14 inches in diameter with a 2″ depth, offering a perfect blend of artistry and tradition. Crafted from sustainably harvested wild reeds and date palm leaves, each basket showcases designs inspired by centuries-old weaving techniques from Pakistan and the American Southwest—patterns introduced by American missionaries and celebrated through generations.

Each Dream Basket takes weeks to complete, using natural date palm leaves dyed with organic pigments in simple clay-lined pits. The vibrant leaves are woven in a figure-eight pattern around wild river reeds, with the weaver skillfully changing colors to create the intricate and meaningful designs. Over time, the colors soften with age and exposure to sunlight, giving each basket a beautifully aged appearance.

Minor variations in color and material are a hallmark of the handmade process, ensuring no two baskets are exactly alike. These fair-trade baskets are not only stunning works of art but also support the livelihoods of traditional artisans.
